Bulletproof
Al took care of things from running bootleg alcohol to managing his brothels. In between a man like Capone made many enemies. So, what do you do when your life is constantly in danger? I don’t know what you would do, but the boss had an idea. He bought a used 1928 Cadillac Sedan with a 90 BHP 341 cubic inch V8 engine. Chicago based company O’Gara-Hess and Eisenhardt customized and converted the sedan into one street mean bulletproof machine.Al Capone’s bulletproof Cadillac was a heavily customized 1928 Cadillac V8 Town Sedan. The unique sedan had many security features, such as steel armor plating on the doors and windows. The windows had bullet-resistant glass with gun-ports to fight off enemies without risking harm to his men.
His sedan was painted green, and the color became known as Al Capone Green. It’s color made his adversaries aware immediately that they better beware. Even the interior was top of the line. Made with plush material, a high-quality sound system and many other luxury items. Plus, a drop-down window in the rear for shooting. They also equipped his car with a police siren and lights used to imitate law enforcement. Capone thought of everything. The car had 1111 miles on it and recently sold at auction for One-million dollars.
